Our main task was to create a converting website that would enable users to learn about travel destinations, find out more about the Ascott, and book a hotel room.
The primary goal indicated by the client was to conduct “brand messaging through a landing page/microsite experience.
The Challenge
Together with CNN travel and Ascont, we have prepared a special project that tells about the best travels in this world. In connection with the ownership of the content, all the pictures were taken form free services.
Keeping in mind our main goal, we were brainstorming some concepts and came up with the expression "Find Your Right Place". At first, we just used it in the absence of other alternatives. Yet, CNN reps liked it so much that it became the main slogan of the campaign.
THE CONCEPT
The Grid that Fits It All
The key concept of the project is that everyone should choose the destination according to their wishes and preferences. The website helps travelers pick a city that would fit them most, read a story about this place and the people who live there, and find the Ascott hotel nearby.
On this page, we slightly changed the presentation of the content so that the user can enjoy reading and not be distracted by unnecessary.
MOBILE FIRST
iOS & ANDROID
We’ve also created a mobile version of the website. At this point, we took the risk by adapting the platform to horizontal scrolling.
CNN Travel team was so impressed by this solution that they decided to apply it to the desktop layout as well, thus focusing on the smartphone and tablet users.

TEXT PAGES
We made the layout of the articles quite complex, yet easy-to-read. Each of the pages was created on the basis of four columns. The sidebar and the footer were designed to offer the nearest Ascott hotel in the area.
